Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the CPEN 321 M1 App ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is a student project created for CPEN 321 at the University of British Columbia and is intended for educational purposes only.

Information we access

When you sign in with Google, the App receives the following basic profile information from your Google account:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your profile picture
• A unique Google account identifier

We do not access your Google contacts, files, calendar, or any other Google data.

How we use your information

This information is used only to sign you in and show your profile while you are using the App. We do not sell, rent, or share it with anyone.

No persistent storage

The App does not save your information to a database or any other permanent storage. It is held only temporarily for your current session and is discarded when you sign out or the session ends.

Google API Services

The App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention and deletion

Because nothing is stored permanently, there is no saved data to delete. Your session information is cleared when you sign out or the session ends.

You can also revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
